A large house set in garden, with trampoline and chickens. The house itself is only 20 years old, having been build by the farmer who owned the land when he retired. However, its individual design means that it has the space and charm that many new builds lack, having been made using local stone, with large rooms.
The house is in open countryside on the Mendip Hills. there are fields to the back and the rear. To the rear of the propety are the Mineries and Stockhill Forest; perfect for walks, especially with young children as it is off-road. The house is well located for visiting Bath or Bristol, but lots of days out are within easy access (Longleat, Wookey Hole, Cheddar Caves, Bristol zoo, beaches).
We used to run the house as a B&B, and we often received remarks as to how well they had slept; perfect silence and no street lights. It is a great retreat.
We have three children aged 10, 8 and 4. We like visiting new places and enjoying countryside walks and the beach.
