The main house has 3 very large bedrooms,1 bathroom,2 lounges compete with TV's DVD's Satellite .computer,wifi etc. large kithen/diner.Leads out onto very large , covered terrace and beautiful private garden with small pretty, landscaped pool. Cottage ha 2 bedrroms, lounge, kitchen,shower-room and small terrace .The best thing about the house is the position. Right in the middle of stunningly beautiful village on the Canal .

Where

In the village of Meilhan on the Canal du Midi and the River Garonne 50mins. from Bordeaux. Stunning countryside and panoramic views from the village. 45mins from St. Emilion, 20mins from Sauterne and Montbazillac and the Dordogne region within 1/2 hr. Nearest town La Reole 15mins and Marmande 15mins.

Why

We live in the house all year round and would leave everything as is car,linen,computer,wifi,DVD's stereo CD's bikes , a very nice dog and a kind old neighbour who owns a boat and can take you on boat trips. Or you can cycle along the cycle track along the canal all the way to the Med.!! We'll also arrange for our cleaner to come once a week.Easy walking distance 2mins to grocers, butcher,baker,pharmacy, bank,4 restaurants , tennis , pool, and truly wonderful villages within 10 min drive .

About me

My husband and I are childrens' entertainers and we do an original show in primary schools here in France. George is also in a many rock bands playing all year round in the Aquitaine region. We've lived here for 27 years and have 5 children between us, with only one left at home who's 12yrs old. Our house is very family friendly , but also perfect for a couple wanting a quiet,beautiful, country holiday eating regional produce and drinking delicious. wine, walking, cycling,boating and lazing .
