This is a sweet little one bedroom flat on the second floor of a small block of about 8 flats. It is in a residential area with a school and church just opposite. There is a separate living room, bathroom and kitchen and a tiny hallway. There are two windows in the bedroom and a large window along the side wall of the living room. The king size bed in the bedroom comfortably sleeps two and there is a pull out sofa bed in the living room that is a double bed.
My flat is about a 5 min bus ride or 15 min walk from Canary Wharf - a key shopping centre and hub of the London financial scene. This means there are *a lot* of restaurants in this area should you want to eat out. The bus stop is just 1 minute walk from the front door. Alternatively there is Mudchute (pronounced mud-shoot) station just 7 mins walk away which goes through Canary Wharf to Bank. The River Thames is 2 mins walk from the flat with one of the riverboat stops 5 mins further on.
This flat would be perfect for people wanting to visit London and have access to everything without the £100+ per night hotel bills. You could easily walk (through an ancient foot tunnel) to historic Greenwich, jump on the river boat to Tower of London and spend the rest of the day in Museums and Galleries before being back at the flat in 45 mins. Being out of town you won't have the boistrous crowds of central london and the area is generally very quiet after about 7pm.
I live by myself in a one bedroom flat very close to the River Thames. I am always making things so the flat is full of fabric, wool and of course a zillion books which you could spend days wading through. I love walking along the River and running along the Thames Path. I'm only half an hour from central london with both bus and underground links so it's easy to visit all the galleries and museums that inspire me.
