Our home is modern, comfortable, clean and spacious. The lounge is large and homely with double aspect windows giving wide views to the sea and to the thatched cottages nestling in the valley below. French windows lead onto the sunny terrace with gorgeous sea views. We have four bedrooms, three of which also have sea views. There are two newly updated bathrooms, one with a shower and the other with a bath and shower.
Cadgwith is a typical Cornish fishing village which nestles in a wooded valley three miles from the Lizard (the most southerly point of the British mainland.) The village has a welcoming pub, two cafes, a gallery and general shop. Freshly caught fish is available throughout the summer. There is a theme park, Flambards, ten miles away and there are many local restaurants ranging from pub grub to upmarket a la carte.
Everything you need for a perfect summer holiday! There is a fishing beach and a bathing beach separated by a rocky outcrop known as The Todden. The surrounding area has many unspoiled, sandy beaches ideal for swimming and surfing. The Lizard Peninsula has many activities on offer, including sailing, golf, horse-riding, diving and walking the Cornish Coastal Path.
We are a married couple, Mark and Nicky, both in our forties. We have three children, Daniel (22), Ben (20) and Isaac (15).In 2013 only Isaac will be likely to travel with us. Mark is a sales manager and Nicky is a pre-school manager. We have successfully completed five house exchanges, four in France and one in the USA. We love the opportunity to experience another culture as a native, and allow another family to borrow our life for a while. In 2013 we would ideally love to visit Italy.
